Design For Me: Usability and Viability.

As someone who does business and studies economics. Design is simply the systematic creation of solutions and communication of value within the scope of that solution.

In my own opinion, designers solve problems and they do so systematically. So the job of a designer is more than aesthetics. It’s aesthetics backed by research with the goal of communicating to the target audience.

Product designers do not just solve problems but they should also be able to ensure that the user will be able to pay for that solution.

So a product designer should be able to conduct competitive analysis, user research and employ frameworks to make his client understand the design will not just make the user happy but happy enough to pay for the solution.

Payment in this case might not be money, it be data or traffic. Basically payment means the designs should convert to value for the client and the user.

WeJapa Internship For Me

Being a part of the WeJapa Internship would give me a more hands on approach towards product design because I would be working with mentors this time and I’m confident these are people who are industry leaders in the field which is what I ultimately want to become: a thought leader in product design.
